This video shows a simple inch-worm robot with two body segments (or legs). It moves like a real worm - by sliding its body (well, actually, its 'legs' in this case) on the ground. Actuation of this inchworm robot is achieved using muscle wires (memory shape alloy wires). This solution for robotic mobility is so simple yet very effective.
