This video is a demo of the new IFSR Multi-Touch Sensor Technology of TouchCo, which is said to be superior to other touch-sensing interfaces for the computer.
Unlike sensors that rely on capacitive effects to detect a touching object, this system uses IFSR (Interpolating Force-Sensitive Resistance) sensors that can detect multiple points of contact simultaneously in real-time while allowing it to measure the pressure being applied on each point. Using less power during operation and being less expensive to manufacture, this is believed by Touchco to be a disruptive technology with many potential applications in the industry.
